Jaipur Sightseeing - Places to Visit and Things to Do

The capital city of Rajasthan, Jaipur, is the largest in the state, and was planned by Vidyadhar Bhattacharya. Popularly known as the Pink City, Jaipur beautifully combines the advantages of a metropolis with the glamour of ancient history. Furthermore, the city is one of the corners of the famous golden triangle of North India that includes Delhi and Agra.

Back in 1876, the Prince of Wales was touring the country. Since the colour pink is considered a symbol of hospitality, then Maharaja Ram Singh painted Jaipur pink! Today, the dominant colour scheme of the magnificent structures in Jaipur are shades of pink, hence the nickname Pink City!

Here are some of our top recommendations for places to visit and things to do in Jaipur.
